Ethnic Instruments in the Schools
Recently, I’ve been looking into ethnic instruments. My son’s music teacher is amazing. She gives so much to her students and exposes them to many different things. She has a vast collection of instruments from around the world. The children not only love to play them, but they love to learn about them. She introduces the instruments in such a way, that she grabs the children’s attention. She lets them play the instruments, and harmonize together. The instruments unite the class as one, as they learn about all these different cultures. It’s a great way to teach the history of music and to see how instruments have advanced.
