Henna in Beauty Products

It has recently been discovered that henna has anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties that come in very handy when making various types of shampoos, face washes, and natural hair dyes. While henna tattoos are the most popular use of this highly sought-after ink, spas also use it to soothe tired skin. Henna has even been known to cure dandruff! (I wish I would have known that while I was shopping for a dandruff shampoo for my husband! We tried so many different varieties…we would have liked to give a henna-based shampoo a try!) Some of the uses I am surprised by include treating arthritis and use as a sedative. It is truly amazing how one product can have so many different applications!
