Swing Dancing And What To Wear

When you’re preparing to try swing dancing for the first time, you’ll want to bring along an extra pair of comfortable shoes, to wear while you’re dancing. The swing dance costume starts with the shoes. For women, these shoes should have a small heel, and for men, they should be relatively smooth-bottomed. You won’t want to wear anything that’s been in extended contact with streets or other surfaces, because that will scuff the dance floor and introduce grit to the nicely polished surface. Good shoes are important because they allow you to swivel and turn promptly, and because they help you to master footwork, just like good tires help a car to maneuver on the road.
