fill up your car with a garden hose

Have you ever dreamed about being able to fill up your car with a garden hose?  What if I told you that you didn’t have to dream to be able to do that.  With about $100 in supplies and half a days worth of work (less time if you actually know what you’re doing on a car, but I’m a car idiot so it took me half a day on the weekend to do this.)  I performed a conversion process on my car allowing it to effectively run on either water or gasoline which means on a road trip I can still stop at a gas station, but when I’m around town and near my house I can just grab the hose and fill ‘er up.  I’m guessing that with current water prices in my town I’m spending about $.25 or so to fill up the tank.  I can live with those kind of prices.
