My dad recently called me and let me know that he was finally approved for social security disability benefits. Little did I now exactly how long he had been waiting to get these benefits. The paperwork and interviews had been done months prior to receiving the benefits and he was really in dire straights before getting approval. Of course I was irate that not only he did not tell me of the problems he was having but then that it took him so long to get relief. Next time I will be doing some investigating of my own to make sure that he is getting his proper benefits in a timely fashion.
