I am the IT Department Head at a large corporation that services thousands of customers manufacturing needs. We have installed electronic data management for the shop floor into our company. This software has revolutionized our operations. We in the IT department had many headaches dealing with multiple software systems that were all independent of one another. Not only did it make it difficult for everyone to be trained on all the software, but there was no data sharing. This made more of a job inputting data and created an greater risk for clerical mistakes and wasted time being redundant. This new system has integrated all of these systems into one nice user friendly package. We have lots less headaches and much better use of our time and data.
