Is Becoming A Vegetarian A Good Way To Lower Your Blood pressure?

Some people faced with the problem of high blood pressure believe that one answer is simply to become a vegetarian but this in itself is certainly not the answer. The secret to choosing a low blood pressure diet does not rely upon a vegetarian diet but relies upon finding foods that lower blood pressure from across the wide spectrum of foods available today. In essence this means choosing low-fat, low-salt foods which are also high in such things as vitamin D, calcium, magnesium and potassium. Many vegetarian foods are in fact very high in fat, especially if they are made with things like cheese or contain pastry or creamy sauces. Conversely, meat and fish such as chicken and salmon can be very low in fat if cooked correctly.
