Steps For Women To Build Muscle Mass

Thirty some years ago, I got involved with a fitness center and made a decision to alter my lifestyle. I needed to lose weight and develop my cardiovascular system to a greater degree. I also wanted to develop lean muscle mass and tone my muscles overall.

Building muscle mass takes a great deal of determination. It requires a plan and it requires a great degree of patience for change to occur over the long period as opposed to the short period. Women are again interested in body building and there are particular guidelines for them.

It is recommended that you train with heavy weights as this will demand more of your body and require muscles to develop further. However, only 3-6 repetitions per set is needed. Do not overdo it ! Excluding warm-up time, you need not do extended trainings to meet your goals. This is not considered healthy. Eight to ten sets per workout is plenty and it is recommended that you rest a few minutes between each set.
