A Tradition of Stuffed Animals

I’ve been collecting stuffed animals since I was small, and some are actual collector’s items, now worth a lot of money.

That’s not why I got them; it’s just the way it happened, since I have a tendency to fall in love with classic characters like Mickey Mouse, Tigger, and Mimzy. While many of the animals have value because of their age, the Mimzy stuffed animal is a collector’s item and I inherited it.

My Great Aunt Hilda was another stuffed animal collector and loved the story of Mimzy. Being wealthy, she bought one of the hard-to-find Mimy’s at auction. And, when Aunt Hilda’s estate was settled, I got the Mimzy in her will.

Of all the creatures in my collection, I think the Mimzy is my favorite. Maybe that’s because it came with so much love attached.
