Enduring Mantel Clocks
My father was a watch and clockmaker. I have lots of fond memories growing up in a home where at least a dozen different clocks chimed the half hour and the hour. I can remember when my parents moved into their last home the first thing my father did was put one of his antique mantel clocks on the mantel. It was his favorite Seth Thomas mantel clock that had a reverse painted panel. Today that very clock graces my husband and my home. It runs beautifully. I can’t wait to give this beautiful mantel clock to my daughter one day for her home.
