If Only I’d Known
A year ago, my family was struggling tremendously. I spent most of my income trying to make my student loan payments, and I barely had enough left over to put food on the table. When my children needed clothes, we had to rely on the generosity of friends. Then one day, after my children asked me for money for school and I couldn’t give it to them, I decided that we couldn’t live that way. I started looking into options to consolidate federal student loans. I found out that I could get a plan that was based on my income. I wish I’d known that before! Maybe things wouldn’t have been so hard.
