why can’t records be private?
In most places divorce and marriage records are public records, and that means that anyone, yes anyone can access your records just by following the guidelines and rules that are set up through the vital statistics office. Does that seem right? I hardly think that is a safe thing to do. I mean there are public marriage records, and public divorce records. Nothing is hidden on these records. Names, dates, times, places, etc. etc. It just bothers me that all these records are ready and willing to be seen by any average Joe on the street! It is actually pretty scary if you ask me.
