O2 Is Flourishing In Its Success In The Broadband Market

Even though relatively new to the broadband market, O2 has already won two awards. O2 was crowned as the winner during an awards ceremony. The main criteria used for the mobile broadband selection were speed and customer service, and O2 got recognized as having the fastest broadband, and the highest customer satisfaction compared with other broadband providers. This proved that although O2 is a late entrant in the competitive field of mobile and fixed line broadband, they have made a distinctive mark. They now hold their place in the competition. A few weeks ago, O2 launched a very lucrative and tempting offer. Consumers signing for O2’s mobile broadband subscriptions will receive free home broadband for a year. An O2 spokesperson stated that this package ensures that O2 customers stay connected no matter where they are. They could be at home or on the go, and have the capability to do the same things; whether it is playing an online game, surfing the web or watching a video. Although O2 was not the first to launch home broadband or mobile broadband on the market, they were the first to offer the two as a combined package, with automatic subscription to commercial Wi-Fi hotspots. The mobile broadband market in the UK continues to grow, and now has a coverage of about 60 percent. Previously, it was all driven by offers of free broadband, but that is no longer the case. Customers are now looking for higher quality, faster speed and good customer service. There is a growing desire for higher bandwidth with a higher limit for data downloads.
