XBox 360 3 Red Lights - Still a Superior Product
Despite the xbox 360 3 red lights problem, a problem that has been discussed at length all over the internet, the X360 is still a superior gaming unit. Although the first release of this gaming platform was having failure rates close to 30% due to the 3 red lights problem, Microsoft has since then pretty much eliminated the problem on boxes currently being manufactured, and has also taken the extraordinary step of extending the X360 warranty from its initial 90 days to 3 years. This is almost unprecedented and certainly reflects Microsoft’s desire to satisfy the customer and put this problem behind them for good.
But even with the 3 year extended warranty, many xbox 360 gamers have been taking matters into their own hands and repairing their xboxes themselves, simply because they don’t want to have to send the unit out and wait 3 or 4 weeks to get it back. Our recommendation is still to send you unit to Microsoft for repair if you are covered under the 3 year extended warranty. But if you simply must have your xbox back up and running in an hour or so, the do-it-yourself route is your next best bet.
