If you want to apply for Class A truck driving jobs, there are a few companies that offer on-the-job-training. This saves time, as you can begin earning while you are learning how to drive the company truck. Of course, the company will expect you to remain employed with it for a certain amount of time after you have received your CDL. No company wants to invest financially into an employee who quits soon after enhancing his or her skills. Usually all of this is explained and agreed upon before you are hired. Many companies choose this route because of the high demand for truck drivers. It also gives the company the opportunity to train you according to their specific requirements.
