Untreated side roads potentially dangerous to drivers
Drivers need to be careful while driving on untreated side roads, according to the Institute of Advanced Motorists.Peter Rodger from the organisation claims snow and ice on these roads can create hazardous conditions for drivers, which could interest people looking for a car hire during the cold snap.He advises that drivers plan routes on major roads and give other road users plenty of space, especially on hills.Mr Rodger also advises that drivers pack emergency essentials to deal with any possibilities, which should include a warm coat and a charged mobile phone. “Keep your speed sensibly low, but not so low that you cannot climb a slope, or the car is pulled into the gutter by the camber of the road,” he said.
